Create a Wallet
- 🐾 Step 1: Get MetaMask
- Download the MetaMask extension from the official website and install it in your browser.
- 🐾 Step 2: Set Up Your Wallet
- Create a new wallet by following the prompts to set a password and secure your backup seed phrase.
- Don't forget to write down your seed phrase and keep it safe!
- 🐾 Step 3: Fund Your Wallet
- Transfer some Ether (ETH) to your MetaMask Ethereum address from an exchange or another wallet.
Connect to DEX
- 🐾 Step 1: Choose Your DEX
- Pick a DEX like Uniswap, Uniswap is the most preferred community DEX.
- Open the DEX website on your browser.
- 🐾 Step 2: Connect Your Wallet
- Click on "Connect Wallet" and select MetaMask from the options.
- 🐾 Step 3: Approve the Connection
- A MetaMask pop-up will appear. Approve the connection to link your wallet to the DEX.
Swap ETH for Tokens
- 🐾 Step 1: Select Tokens
- In the DEX, choose ETH in the "from" field and pick your desired token in the "to" field.
- 🐾 Step 2: Enter Amount
- Type in the amount of ETH you want to swap. The DEX will show you the estimated amount of tokens you'll receive.
- 🐾 Step 3: Click Swap
- Click "Swap" or "Exchange."
- 🐾 Step 4: Confirm Transaction
- A MetaMask pop-up will appear. Review all the details carefully and then confirm the transaction.
Verify and Manage Tokens
- 🐾 Step 1: Check Your Transaction Status
- Open MetaMask and go to the "Activity" tab to see the status of your transaction. You can also check it on Etherscan by entering your Ethereum address.
- 🐾 Step 2: Add Your Token Manually
- If the token doesn't appear in your MetaMask wallet, no worries! Click on "Assets," then "Add Token." Enter the token's contract address, symbol, and decimal.
- 🐾 Step 3: View and Manage Your Tokens
- Your new tokens should now be visible in your MetaMask wallet. You can manage, send, or trade them as needed.
